IR-Rating

IR - Rating

According EASA - there are now 3 different IR-Ratings

Full IR (A)

This is the known IR-Rating, what enables you to fly all Aircraft you are rated for, under IR flight rules. The route for the CPL and ATPL students.

CB-IR - Competence Based IR-Rating

This is a full IR rating that can be added to a PPL or CPL and also for frozen ATPL Students.

This is also a full IR rating, what enable you to fly all Aircraft you are rated for, under IR flight rules. But it does not include the HPA part.

It is basically made for Private-Pilots and CPL-Pilots

The training requirements are reduced (10 h less flight training and only 50 % of the theory), to make it more easy available for a larger number of pilots.
A great progress from more safety and quality in aviation!

IR-CB It des not include the HPA privileges.

But the HPA (theory) can also be done later.

But if you are holding the ATPL theory, than you also can do the IR-CB training and in the end you will have the full IR, because you have done the ATPL theory, witch includes the HPA theory.

E-IR enroute IR-Rating

This rating will allow you only to fly IR-lower-airways after your VFR departure and you have to land under VFR conditions.

IR departures and IR approaches are not permitted!

This will give Pilots only the possibility to fly under IR conditions on route.

At the end there  will be a skill test with one of our examiners.

The Competence Based IR

Theory Training

This will be a reduced Theory-Program with less subjects and less questions... (about 50% form the normal IR)

The training can be done at our residential training or with our distance learning program including 1 days of ground school.

Written Test - dates: 2015 - click

Flight Training

Prior flight training and IR experience can be taken as a part of your training towards the 40 hrs of required training

Only 10 hrs (as a minimum) of the entire training have to be done before the skill test in an Approved-Flight-Training-Organisation ATO

The ATO have to assess the prior flight training, to make sure that the training and the training level is according the Syllabus.

On the end there will be a full IR (A) skill test like on the full IR(A) training.

We suggest you Students and Clients, to do the entire training inside of an ATO, to ensure the quality of the training.

Enroute E-IR

The privileges of the holder of an en route instrument rating (EIR) are to conduct flights by day under IFR in the en route phase of flight, with an aeoplane for which a class or type rating is held. The privilege may be extended to conduct flights by.

Theory Training requirement (same as IR-competence Based)

  • 80 hrs theory training prior the skill test

This can be done in a mixture of self study and class room training

Prior the skill test the student will have to demonstrate the theoretical knowledge to the examiner.

Flight Training Requirement

  • 15 hrs IR training on SEP aircraft

or for the ME-EIR

  • 16 hrs on under IR training and 4 on a ME-Aircraft

At the end there will be a skill test according E-IR

Note:

We are not offering the IR-Enroute training at the moment, because we are not convinced of the sense of this kind of Rating - we suggest our Clients to go for the IR-CB rating what will be a full IR rating and very usefull!
